In tribute to Coach in NYC, New York’s Ella Emhoff graced the runway at fashion week.

Fresh off her fashion stint at the Democratic National Convention, the Vice President’s stepdaughter Kamala Harris walked the runway at Coach on the High Line wearing an “I Heart NY” T-shirt, a black leather miniskirt, and a matching leather blazer . , a baseball cap and pointy pumps.

Emhoff, 25, has become a fashion darling in recent years, with her own knitting club – which she has temporarily discontinued – and modeling on the runways for a host of designers in past seasons.

At NYFW this week, she attended shows for Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch and Collina Strada, as well as the Susan Alexandra and Rachel Antonoff pooch palooza.

The trainer, however, was her first runway appearance so far this season at New York Fashion Week.

In addition to a range of playful graphic tees, leather pieces, classic suits and traditional denim, Coach’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection also saw a range of comically large bags in various shapes – from typical backpacks and large bags to colossal and cushions . claws in the shape of hearts, lips or animals. “My vision for spring was to show real clothes in a real, relevant, urban environment,” creative director Stuart Vevers said in a statement.

“But we are redesigning these garments, keeping in mind the values ​​of a new generation that is discovering these pieces for the first time.”

Some of the pieces highlighted the brand’s (Re)Loved program – a pair of jeans or a moto skirt, for example – created from pre-loved clothing and breathe new life into it.

“We’ve taken very archetypal pieces and made them unique to the wearer, with very playful proportions, style and embellishments that question the idea of ​​traditional ‘luxury,'” continued Vevers.

“I think what’s most valuable today is something that’s personal.”
