We’re ‘platonic soulmates’ who share a bed – we don’t care if people think we’re weird

Who needs a man in your bed when you have a friend to cuddle with?

Estella Kyriacou and Imogen Clarke, both 25, have gone from Bumble BFFs to cohabiting and sharing a bed in just seven weeks – they’re sleeping together without sleeping together.

The two single Londoners have declared themselves “platonic soul mates…because we feel like we just get each other,” Kyriacou explained to What’s The Jam.

She insists their relationship goes beyond friendship because it so quickly exploded into a “when-you-know-you-know situation.”

“Big cities can be very lonely sometimes and we both felt that,” Kyriacou said.

But since they moved in together and became “platonic soul mates,” the women couldn’t be happier.

“We both feel like we’re living our 20s the way we want and we have someone to share it with,” she said.

Kyriacou, a law student originally from Toronto, Canada, and Clarke, a mortgage broker from Buckinghamshire, UK first connected on the dating app in March and quickly hit it off.

“We were both a little nervous, but once we got there we felt comfortable,” Kyriacou said. “We had a few drinks and went to another pub and we both said, ‘OK, let’s be friends.’

The two continued to get to know each other through text and voice notes over the next few days and soon realized they had found their man.

They had joked about moving in together on their first date, and on their second date—a girls’ night out—they both decided to go for it.

Their third date was spent apartment hunting together in the city.

“At this point, we weren’t the best of friends yet, but we knew we were going to get really close,” Clarke said.

“By the time we signed the lease — just four weeks into our friendship — Estella said, ‘We’re going to be best friends,’ and I said, ‘I thought we already were.’ ™.â€

The besties moved in together on May 1 and say things have been “smooth” ever since.

They spend all their time together, take care of each other – Clarke does the laundry and Kryiacou cooks – and they can’t wait to come home to each other.

“Just like people think they are so lucky to have met their spouses and it was the right place and time, we count our lucky stars because we are so happy and blessed to have found each other,” Kyriacou said.

“We always say we have such a good life together, and we really love her.”

The two share everything, including clothes, shoes, make-up, food – even a bed. But the girls are not getting it.

Kyriacou, who is terrified of spiders, woke up one night to find a creepy crawler in her bed. She immediately woke her friend, but they were both too scared to do anything about the unwanted guest at 5am, so they crawled into Clarke’s bed together.

“I ended up sleeping in her bed for what we thought would be like two weeks until it blew up, but we got used to it and every night we just called it a day in bed,” Kyriacou said.

Young women now use the spare room as a wardrobe.

“A lot of people find it extremely strange and assume we are together. But it’s like sleeping with your friend every night,” Kyriacou said, letting go of the hatred.

“We know that when one of us enters a relationship, we will both have an adjustment period
